    Echidna Books     

Echidna Books means quality Australian non-fiction. Generally published in series, the books cover a wide range of topics: Australian history, geography, natural history, environmental studies, values education, citizenship, sport, biographies and technology to name a few. And all with a distinctive Australian flavour. The levels covered range from the very beginning years of schooling through to mid secondary. The topics and approach are carefully selected to ensure that the books meet curriculum needs at the appropriate level and, while primarily designed for the library, these books are also an invaluable classroom resource. Big book versions of many of the Echidna titles are available.

This imprint covers a wide range of material published in Australia. The material covers strong curriculum topics for Australian schools for age levels ranging from junior primary through to mid secondary. These books are thoroughly researched to ensure that they really fit what is required in the library and as support materials for the classroom.

The titles from Heinemann Library UK, supplement our local titles by broadening both the topics and the appropriate age levels. All areas of the curriculum are covered, with material for the pre-schooler through to senior secondary.

This imprint of the Evans Publishing Group mainly consists of mid primary to junior secondary non-fiction but it also has a good range of material for values and citizenship education at the junior primary level.
